In all the Nordics and in Norway, the radio market has been resilient despite the growing importance of online segments. The dominant players remain the public radio NRK, as well as the Bauer Radio and NENT radio. Norway was the first country to completely turn off FM services in December 2017. The Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB/DAB+) population coverage stands now at 99.8%. Besides, digital radio advertising revenues, which combine both website and podcast revenues, are becoming more important in the total revenues of radio groups. Digital radio revenues have reached 12.3% of the total radio advertising revenues in Norway in 2020.
