The Mobile industry in North Korea

Due to heavy political restrictions on data and network usage in North Korea, SIM cards are a privilege retained by a very small minority of the population along with the few foreigners living in the country. KoryoLink has the monopoly of the market for foreigners and provides 3G. Some foreign operators’ networks, from mainland China mostly, can be received in North Korea but are not officially operating there.
